Useful Information For Owners

What you need to know if your pet has been referred

We will try to provide all the information you need to help you when your pet has been referred. If you need to discuss your pet, please call our reception desk on 01332 548911 and one of our friendly team will be able to help you.

If you are claiming on your pet insurance then please read our guide to insurance claims to familiarise yourself with our direct claim service.

Information for owners of hospitalised patients

We understand how worrying it can be when your pet is hospitalised and everyone at Pride Veterinary Centre is totally committed to delivering the highest quality care to your pet.

Visiting Your Pet

A family member visiting is an important part of your pet's recovery alongside rest and recuperation. We limit family visits to a pre booked 15 minute slot, this ensures that you do not arrive when treatments are due as we do not want to disrupt/reduce your time with your pet. Also as pets can get very excited at visiting times and become tired we can ensure they get plenty of time to rest. Visiting times are available during the day between 10:30am - 12:30pm and 2:00pm - 5:30pm and we request all visits are pre booked.

Updates

You should receive a telephone update regarding your pet by 11:00am, this will allow us time to perform a full clinical examination, review their treatment protocol and create a plan for the day. At this time we will also update you regarding your account.

If you have not heard from us by 11:00am please call our main reception on 01332 548911 and we will update you as required over the course of the day. If you are worried or just want to know how your pet is you can ring in and reception will speak to the nurse caring for your pet and give you a brief update as to how they are.

Insuring Your Pet

We always recommend that you have pet insurance and have a dedicated team at Pride Veterinary Centre to help you with your direct claim. The team are available Monday-Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm

These direct numbers can be used for customers wishing to discuss an insurance claim with their designated claim administrator, who will be responsible for their claim from beginning to end.
