Sue graduated from Bristol Vet School a long time ago!  She worked in both mixed and small animal general practice for 16 years, during which time she gained her RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology.  She subsequently undertook and completed a residency at Willows Referral Service in the West Midlands, obtaining her RCVS Diploma in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2006.

She moved to St Helens in 2008 where she set up and expanded an ophthalmology referral service before joining Pride Veterinary Referrals in 2011. She is interested in all aspects of Veterinary Ophthalmology and is involved in both undergraduate and post-graduate teaching. She has presented at national and international veterinary ophthalmology meetings and is a BVA/KC/ISDS Eye Panellist.

Dissertation submitted for RCVS Diploma: “Lens instability in the dog: A retrospective study of the surgical results in 102 cases (155 eyes) (1994-2004)” which was presented as an abstract at ECVO Versailles (2008) when it was awarded the best clinical paper (and will one day be published).
