Sanne Melis

Sanne graduated from Ghent University in 2008, followed by a rotating internship in small animals at the same University.

She has working in anaesthesia in France and Belguim and completed her Residency in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia a Ghent university in 2014. Sanne became a Diplomate of the European College Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2014.

After moving to the UK, Sanne worked in a referral centre in Durham and then joined the team at Pride Veterinary Centre in February 2016                      

Sanne’s clinical interests are in induction and monitoring of anaesthesia, and chest surgery. She also enjoys teaching.

In her spare time, Sanne enjoys running (and ran the Jungfrau marathon in Switzerland in September 2015), hiking and cycling. She likes to bake (especially when on call and can’t go too far away from the house in case the phone rings).  Sanne has no pets at the moment but would love a dog.
