Cat Grooming

A clean cat is a happy cat and we're here to help! From nail trims to bathings, a little maintenance goes a long way.

Try to start grooming your cat from an early age so that it becomes a normal part of their routine. As they age, cats can get stiff so they might not be able to easily reach some areas that need cleaning. Therefore, regular cat grooming is an important part of your caring routine throughout the whole of your cat's life.

Grooming a cat from their younger years allows you to build a bond through physical contact and create a shared level of trust between you and the groomers.

As short haired cats are quite capable of grooming themselves, a brush through once a week should be enough to help maintain their coat, while long haired cats will benefit from a daily brush to avoid matting, knots and excessive fur ball build up.

Matting can be very uncomfortable and even painful for cats, so your help will definitely be appreciated – even if they don't show it at the time.

There are some cats who do not tolerate being groomed and if this is your cat, we may have the solution for you. If your cat fights the grooming process, it can cause injury to either you or them, so if our attempts are unsuccessful due to stress or aggression, then we have the option to have your cat sedated whilst we groom (there is an added fee for this as a Vet will need to be present to administer the anaesthetic), this is much less stressful for your cat and we can achieve more grooming with no worries.

We offer grooming on all breed and sizes of cats and our services include lion clips, sanitary clips and regular monthly grooms. Just ask our friendly grooming team for any advice.
