Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy

Our facilities for post-operative care include a physiotherapy and hydrotherapy suite to rehabilitate patients.

The Physiotherapy Department work closely along side our in house vets and external referring vets to provide a physiotherapy service complementary to the treatment plan of the Vet.

We provide both water and land based physiotherapy. The hydrotherapy pool and aqua-treadmill are very useful tools for assisting treatment of a range of conditions from orthopaedic to neurolological, acute to chronic.  They can also be useful for obesity management, and fitness/performance enhancement of the working dog.

Land based physiotherapy such as soft tissue techniques, joint manipulations and exercises are carried out, as well as electrotherapy treatments such as low level laser therapy (LLLT). Most clients are sent home with an exercise program for their animal so the physiotherapy can be continued by the owner at home.
