We are a clinical associate practice of the University of Nottingham Veterinary School and many of their referral clinicians work at The Pride Veterinary Centre. We are delighted that this partnership means that we can offer a broad range multi disciplinary referral service.
Final year veterinary students spend four weeks at the practice as part of their formal teaching and spend time being involved with the cases. Most clients are very willing to be involved in this experience however we understand that there may be reasons why clients would prefer not to have students involved in the care of their animal. Just let the reception team know when you book your appointment. Our priority is to provide the very best in clinical care to your clients pet irrespective of their decision to involve students.
About the School of Veterinary Medicine and Sciences
The School of Veterinary Medicine and Science is the newest of the UK veterinary schools and has recently been accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. It aims to make leading contributions to veterinary clinical care, teaching and research. The five year veterinary curriculum combines a clinically-focused programme with integrated research, and brings students into contact with animals and clinical case scenarios from the very beginning of the course.
Research is central to the School, both in terms of being at the forefront of national and international efforts in veterinary medicine, but also as an integral part of the training and education for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
