Cardiology

This is the diagnosis and treatment of conditions of the heart and we are lucky to be able to provide a complete service in this discipline. We have four cardiologists working within our hospital: Two Royal college diplomats: Malcolm Cobb and Rachel James, a Royal College Certificate holder Julie Todd, and Annarita Amodio.

They all have experience in the diagnosis and management of congenital and developmental heart diseases and our hospital is equipped to allow full work up of these conditions including: Digital radiography, state of the art ultrasonography machine, ECG, Holter monitor, CT and MRI, as well as on site laboratory facilities including blood gas analysis and digital cardiac fluoroscopy for interventional procedures.

Acute stabilisation of these cases is within our intensive care unit, where we have piped oxygen and multi-parameter monitors linked to a central station.
